Bedroom, bath and hallway doors, prehung or slab, fitted so they close quiet and latch right.
Interior doors
Interior doors come two ways, and picking the right one decides how the whole job goes. A slab is just the door itself. It gets trimmed to fit your existing frame, with hinge pockets and a latch hole cut to line up with what is already there. A prehung door comes already hung in its own frame, so the old frame comes out and the new one goes in. A slab makes sense when the frame is straight and you like the trim around it. Prehung is the better call when the frame is out of square or beat up, or when the door size is changing.
Most interior door trouble comes from the house, not the door. After decades, a frame can lean just enough that a new slab cut to match the old one still rubs at the top corner or pops open by itself. A latch that sits a hair off the strike plate rattles every time the AC kicks on. New flooring can change the gap under a door, and too tight a gap chokes the airflow, since many rooms rely on air passing under the door to get back to the return. Getting a door to close quiet and latch right is mostly patient fitting.
It helps to think about what each door has to do before you pick one. Hollow core doors are light and they are fine for many rooms. Solid core doors weigh more, but they block noise far better, which is why people choose them for bedrooms, bathrooms and home offices. Panel style, hardware finish and which way the door swings all matter too. If you are changing several doors, keep the style consistent so the hallway reads as one piece. Count your doors, note anything that sticks, and send us a photo or two.

Census numbers put the typical house here at well over 35 years old. That is plenty of time for a frame to settle and a latch to drift out of line.

Questions
Often, yes. If the frame is straight and solid, a slab can be fitted to it and your trim stays put. If the frame leans or is damaged, a prehung door is the cleaner job. We check when we come out to measure.
Usually the frame has shifted or the latch no longer lines up with the strike plate. Either way, the door was fit to a house that has moved a little since. Tell us what it does and we will look at it when we measure.
They do not have to, but doors that open onto the same hallway look right in one style and one hardware finish. Rooms behind a closed door are easier to mix. If you are doing a few at a time, keep a note of the style so the rest can match.
